As a board member, Mark has served on the Crossroads Outreach Center, Washburn Library Board, Auburn Hills Zoning Board of Appeals, University of Michigan Alumini Society Board of Governors and Hope For Tomorrow International. Mark received his Masters in Fine Arts degree from The State University of New York and his Bachelors in Fine Arts from The University of Michigan. Upon graduation, he founded and facilitated exchanges of art and artists between the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Germany, and The United States while working closely with the German Consul General. Recently, Mark has facilitated an exchange of fine prints between 11 American and 16 Chinese artists.
Mark teaches a wide range of business and art classes to students of all ages and backgrounds in collaboration with various K-12 and higher educational institutions. Currently, Mark is an instructor at Northland College. Somewhat of a serial entrepreneur, in 2009 he established Blue Rock Workshop, LLC. along the shores of Lake Superior, where he publishes fine prints, creates drawings and sculpture.
